About Culver's Garden Center & Greenhouse
Culver’s Lawn & Landscape began in 1982, when entrepreneur Todd Culver started a lawn mowing business at the age of 12 in Dallas, Texas. Originally from Iowa, Todd moved back to Cedar Rapids in 1984 where he continued his lawn & landscaping services & met his wife, Tami. In 1997, they purchased the current land to operate their landscaping business, as well as start a new retail garden center. As the business grew, the Culver’s recognized the need to expand. In 2005 they opened a new Landscape Design Center. Now 43 years later, the two have grown and developed the company to encompass one of the most recognized landscaping companies in Iowa, a full service garden center with gift shop, greenhouse & landscape nursery.

Love Culver's Garden Center!!! Excellent plants, shrubs, trees.. great gift shop! If I cant find something specific anywhere else, I have always been able to find it at Culver's!! Well worth the 50 minute drive for me!!!

Last spring we popped in to Culver’s as we were passing by. I was struggling to find a non-invasive vining plant to plant near my deck. The staff there is highly knowledgeable and incredibly helpful! They recommended the perfect plant that met all my requirements and this is it today (only its scond year). Could not be happier!

We visited Culver’s Greenhouse to replace a tree we had previously purchased there. After locating a similar variety on display, we approached two employees for assistance. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of basic customer service expectations. Both employees were engaged in conversation and appeared reluctant to help. When we asked about additional availability, they simply stated that what was on display was all they had—without asking any follow-up questions, confirming the specific tree we were looking for, or offering to check inventory. They did not move from their spot or attempt to guide us in any way. As a result, we left without making a purchase. We came in ready to buy, but the lack of engagement and initiative from staff made it impossible to move forward.

This place is utterly beautiful inside and out and the plants here are actually HEALTHY! They are well kept so you know you'll be leaving with something worth the price here. The variety is certainly better than most I've discovered here. The quality is top notch. The employees are willing to assist in the buying process which is always nice.

Updated review. Just had a painting class there. So much fun! Went through the greenhouse and was so impressed with how beautifully decorated it is with holiday decor. My original review below- I had a problem with a lilac bush they planted for me. They were very helpful. This is our 3rd house we have used them for our landscaping needs!
